The Cravats - In Toytown

Some newer blogs have been putting up various neat-o obscurities from the mighty Cravats, aka The Babymen, aka DCL Locomotive, aka The Very Things. Thanks to all of you!

Here is the first Cravats LP, released on Small Wonder Records around 1980. An anthology reissue is forthcoming on Overground Records, buy it!

Thanks for linking to my blog and the one of Cranio. I was planning to rip all my Cravats records but now I don't need to do this anymore. I'll probably post some 7"s of The Cravats later as not all tracks appear on the anthology. I think all their output should be re-released. Let's hope that our posts lead more people into the wonderful world of The Cravats.

yes post 7" singles please! I still don't have a copy of the track "Situations" (B-side to "Gordon" 45). Both sides of the "Precinct" 45 are on the anthology but it leaves off the track "Burning Bridges", a real shame!

I can't believe how much great stuff was left off the anthology! Gordon? No Gordon!

Still... A fantastic album though, maybe they are planning another?

Thanks for the Toytown link

Oh... Looks like you have included X.M.P twice and your unnamed track 11 is in fact 'Tears on my machine'

since we can't email each other, you should upload them to quicksharing (it's easy) and leave the links here in the comments.
